Wuling's first solar power station, distributed on the roof of Gym, passed State Grid evaluation and connected to grid on March 22, 2016, officially launching its trial operation.

This power station, consisting of 1,296 polycrystalline silicon PV modules with a nominal power of 260 watt, has a total installed capacity of 337 kWp and annual generation of 268 MWh. The output cables of the power inverters switch in 400v distribution system for Wuling office building use. Beyond that, the surplus can be sold back to the grid.

This project is invested by Wuling Power Hunan subsidiary. Hunan Red Solar New Energy Science and Technology Co. Ltd, affiliated to 48th Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC), was responsible for procurement and construction as a prime contractor and PV modules supplier. The string inverters were produced by Huawei Technology Co., Ltd.

As the first solar pilot project, it’s operation marks Wuling’s sentry to solar power field. It is expected to enrich Wuling’s power mix, and fuel sustainable development of the company in a new way.
